SmackSocial is a social networking application available on the iPhone platform. It offers various account types, including organization accounts, personal accounts, and business accounts.
With organization accounts, users can set up their communication for groups such as church groups, clubs, athletic teams, fraternities, and sororities. Users can import a contact list of their members' names and phone numbers, or members can join by searching for the organization in the app. Events and announcements can be sent directly to members, and if they don't have the app, they receive the information as individual SMS texts. Group chatter is separated from events/announcements, and members can choose which notifications to receive.
Personal accounts allow users to connect with friends, clubs, teams, church groups, and more. Users can coordinate planned and last-minute hangouts/events with temporary chats dedicated to the hangout/event. Friends who are not on the app can be invited via individual SMS texts. Hangout/event details are kept separate from the chat to ensure they never get buried. Additionally, users can discover local events and activities, find community, and meet friends through friends.
Business accounts are designed for businesses to post their activities and events on a dedicated platform. When people follow a business, its events are shown in their feed, becoming a part of their regular social life. Business accounts also offer advanced analytics, including reach, views, opens, shares, and more. Initially free, business accounts require payment once the business hits 200 followers. Users can choose to pay per post or opt for a small monthly fee for unlimited posts.
